As a first step toward better math and science education in America, NMSI is supporting the expansion of two proven programs:
- Training and Incentive Programs, which encourage excellence among teachers and students of Pre-AP and AP courses; and
- UTeach, which encourages math and science majors to enter the teaching profession by offering compact degrees and financial assistance for undergraduates.
Within the next five years, NMSI seeks to have training and incentive programs for AP and pre-AP courses in 20 states and UTeach running on more than 50 university campuses.
